Simon's role in Local Government draws off his diverse experience, leadership and strengths from previous roles and projects with the Department of Environment, Water and Natural Resources and in Civil Engineering. Career achievements for Simon are multifaceted in water management, and influencing biodiversity and environmental outcomes where Simon was recognised and nominated for the Governor's Leadership Foundation Program.
His leadership in cross-sector and cross-Council strategic initiatives includes the Roseworthy Township Expansion Infrastructure Taskforce; delivery of the Freeling Agricultural, Recreation and Multi-Use Centre - known as the FARM in close collaboration with the Freeling Community; Kingsford Regional Industrial Estate Uplift; Seppeltsfield Road Business Alliance Partnership Projects and Regional Cycle Infrastructure Planning and Positioning.
Simon is well known and respected for his resilience, integrity and high performance; he regularly volunteers and is always seeking to further his education.
